A Precious Gift

It is such a gift to my life to help create a safe, respectful space for healing.

I have a particular interest in, and aptitude for, working with people living with ongoing discomfort. One of the joys is when someone who has not been able to find relief through other venues experiences a shift through our work together, leading to a lessening of daily pain and a rekindling of hope in their body's ability heal.

I also work with Seniors living alone or feeling isolated, using gentle touch as a way to help them ground into the unlimited source of love available to us all.

Cathy Angel

Acupuncturist
Licensed Massage Therapist

My mission is to help people release stress from their body and mind. By relieving the burden on the body, your life-force can be rejuvenated, leading to improved energy, ease of movement, greater happiness and renewed creativity.  I truly love what I do, and I am pleased to share that joy in my work with my patients.

Being an effective practitioner requires good observation, strong technical skills, and deep listening to the patient and the patient's body. It is built on a foundation of compassion, love and caring. My goal is to help you release stuck patterns in your body, and to help restore vitality to your body and mind.

Licensed Acupuncturist

I graduated from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine, a 4-year graduate level program in Sugar Grove, NC.  I received my national certification through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and I am a Licensed Acupuncturist in North Carolina.

Certified Chiropractic Assistant

I graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Psychology. I worked for 5 years in a Chiropractic office, where I began to explore more deeply the interface between mental, spiritual, and physical health. While there, I became a Certified Chiropractic Assistant, which aided me greatly in my understanding of musculoskeletal dysfunction.

Massage Specialties

I graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute  with a certification in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage.  My continuing education has included: St. John Neuromuscular Therapy (including Trigger Point therapy), Active Isolated Stretching with Aaron Mattis, and Assessment and Treatment of Common Injuries with Ben Benjamin, Ph.D.

When I'm not in the office, I enjoy dancing, pickleball,  hiking, weight training, and reading.
