Microneedling: What to Expect
The Best Results
The most significant and lasting results occur with a series of treatments. Patients come for four monthly treatments. Most people begin to notice improvement in facial tone about 2 weeks after the first treatment, and the results continue to improve with each subsequent treatment. After four sessions, many people find the results last for up to 5 years. Some patients choose to come for quarterly tune-up appointments to maintain the best results.
Preparing for your Visit
Please come with a clean washed face clear of makeup, moisturizer or other skin products. For scalp treaments, please come without any hair mousse, gel or hairspray.
After Care
Patients may experience redness and skin sensitivity for 24 hours after the treatment. Cold compresses may be used for relief. Aloe Vera-based gels may also be helpful. Some patients choose to schedule on Friday to allow any redness to fade over the weekend.
